Are you shooting or practicing?

by: Joe Rankin

We all enjoy going to the course & shooting with our buddies, telling a few lies along the way, & maybe enjoying a little time with the gang afterwards. There’s certainly nothing wrong with that. But, if you really want to improve your game, there’s a better way.

Let me suggest that you keep a journal of what targets you have difficulty with. Keeping a record of what gives you trouble might be a real “eye opener” to you. When you have identified the targets that need work, spend the time & effort to work out the kinks. If quartering birds from the right give you fits, go work on quartering birds from the right until you own that presentation. If you still have difficulties, consult your Instructor to help work them out.
