I have two of these with consecutive serial numbers. They're both .45 ACP & identical. This is my favorite model that Wilson Combat builds. I put the RDP (Rankin Defense Pistol) series together years ago & there are four different models...RDP, RDP Carry, RDP Elite, & RDP Supergrade. The RDP Elite is the one that goes with me daily...and all of my personal pistols have the flanged cone barrel. I'm a huge fan!
There are some differences in the RDP models but this particular one has was designed for my personal self defense gun. It features a bobtail frame, flanged cone barrel, all bullet proof parts including an ambidextrous safety, crowned barrel, countersunk slide stop, unique grips & engraving, fluted chamber, flat wire recoil spring, battlesight rear, & front gold bead sight. These are simply amazing shooters. The flanged cone barrel reduces recoil & muzzle flip. That translates into increased accuracy & a faster follow -up shot. This is a great pistol for the range or carry. What a shooter!!!
