Smith & Wesson Model 41 - Two barrels & Match Dot Sight! SOLD!

This is one of the "A" prefix Smith & Wesson Model 41s that is from the era when they were known for their superb accuracy. Some ".22" guys say there were pretty much hand built then. I believe this pistol was built in 1972. It is the 7" model & comes with a box & paperwork from that period but the serial number on the box doesn't match the pistol. The box is in really good shape except for one corner that is torn.
I purchased this gun from the original owner some time ago. He had lost the original box but found a replacement for it. The gun had hardly been shot. About a a year ago, I sold it to someone locally who wanted to shoot bullseye with friends. He immediately ordered a Clark barrel with Match Dot sight & had it properly fitted. That's the barrel that was used in the bullseye shooting. Both are included here. The muzzle brake on the original barrel is "as new" proving that it's hardly been shot. The finish wears off very quickly on the ones that are used even lightly.
The gun is in superb condition, especially considering that it's over 40 years old! If you're looking for a tack driver that's inexpensive to shoot, this is it! I know that .22 ammo is difficult to find these days but I happen to have quite a bit of CCI. I'll sell some of it to the buyer if needed but it must ship separately per federal law. This is a great way to introduce new shooters to the sport!
